Issues with Wowhead

Although Wowhead is a very useful reference site, its seems to be positively littered with pop ups and attempts at dropping in malcicious files.  I had one attempt on me today, with something called Exploit Redkit Detection which my paid AVG thank fully blocked.

I wondered if anyone else has had issues with Wowhead and whether anyone could recommend a resource site that doesnt have the kind of malwear and popup loading that Wowhead does?
