New Scrolls of Resurrection are out!
It seems like Blizz is trying to rope in the people who quit during Wrath and haven't come back with a bunch of new goodies.
Currently, you can send a friend who is unsubscribed a "Scroll of Resurrection". What perks do they get?
* 7 days of game time.
* Free Cataclysm upgrade, if you don't have Cataclysm already. (I wonder if this applies to BC accounts?)
* A character boost to level 80. (?!)
* A free realm AND faction transfer to join a friend.
The ghost gryphon and ghost wyvern are assumed to be a part of this promotion, perhaps as a reward for the person who re-recruited the subscriber for at least a certain length of time.
They're really trying to bring back the old subscribers, lately. Everyone is still waiting on an official announcement, but it looks like the new Scrolls are already live.
edit: Don't go digging out old accounts just yet, you guys. Wait for the official announcement, just in case the mount requirements are different! I'd hate for people to resurrect old accounts for nothing! (Well, hey, free level 80!)

* The account you send the scroll to must also purchase 30 days after you send them the reinvite to be eligible for your mount reward.
On that note, anyone planning on wanting to come back to the game, but don't have anyone to send you a Resurrection Scroll when they're available? Drop me a line. ;)
