Newbie dungeon advice, please?

I'm planning on doing my first ever dungeon tomorrow. I'm taking my Auction House alt to Deadmines, because my mains are all at least level 40 and (as people here have suggested) it'd be simpler to start on a lower-level toon. This is a big, scary thing to me and I really want to make sure I mess up as little as possible, so if you can offer me ( Read more... )

The fact that you are even this worried about dungeons shows that you're more prepared than just about anyone else running dungeons at that level.

1. Level 15 is fine to start dungeoning.
2. At low levels don't bother asking. Gear goes by fast enough that if you only take stuff that is an upgrade you shouldn't get any flak for it.
3. Bandages are for your own personal use, basicly. The tank will probably have his own for inbetween pulls or the healer will top them off. As a hunter, you can't really help much with healing the group.
4. Nothing off hand, I'm afraid. Though you could try and solo a dungeon. Teaches you tons about threat and CC.
5. If it's a warrior, wait for the Thunderclap, but generally it's about 2-5 seconds.
6. It shouldn't hurt to mention it, but it's hard to say for certain.
7. A sucky group? 45 minutes to an hour. Though I've been in worse.

A few tips that helped me when I started out was to stay behind and assist the tank, be mindful of your AoE, and of course, save the healer! Keep in mind that low level dungeons aren't very organised. There's a good chance the other two dps and tank will all be targeting different things. Just assist as best you can and don't stress too much if it's a chaotic mess.
