I'm planning on doing my first ever dungeon tomorrow. I'm taking my Auction House alt to Deadmines, because my mains are all at least level 40 and (as people here have suggested) it'd be simpler to start on a lower-level toon. This is a big, scary thing to me and I really want to make sure I mess up as little as possible, so if you can offer me

2 - O.O Ask before rolling? Hell no. ESPECIALLY in lowbie dungeons - roll need on anything that is the appropriate armor (leather til 40, then mail) weapon (lolhunterweapon joke goes here) type and has the correct stats (agi/stam) for you that is an upgrade, there will be some people who will roll need on OMG EVERYTHING, and some who will whine about anyone even looking at an item. Ignore them.
3 - Person being bandaged. Don't worry too much about bandaging, you should have a healer, but they will appreciate you regenning your own health out of combat.
4 - Hmm. Not off the top of my head.
5 - Count to five is a good guide. Used to be wait for five sunders ;)
6 - Yes and no. Off the top of my head Deadmines/RFC don't have anything "you stand in and die" worthy that a group could make you aware of if they know you're new, but SFK can be a bit dicey when you get there. Like you said, the risk is the group being hurtful about it, or just plain kicking you. It might be an idea to go to wowpedia and look over their dungeon pages to get a feel for what the bosses do (if anyone can rec a better site with breakdowns for all the older dungeons, please do!)
7 - Ugh, forever, but that's cycling through tanks and healers, which shouldn't happen.
Are you going to queue specifically for Deadmines, or are you randoming, because if you random you're just as likely to get Ragefire Chasm, just fyi.
Good luck!

I'm specifically going for Deadmines, because I've soloed it on a couple of my higher-level characters so I at least have some idea what to expect. I'll do random dungeons when I feel more comfortable. Baby steps :) Thanks for the thought, though.
