I like her skirt; I think it's really pretty. Plus the entire outfit sort of just...seems to suit her. Helps her blend into the background, too. Lovely piece of work. :)

Also, re: clothing. I'm sorry, but IRL women wear two-piece bathing suits that cover less than their underwear would, so it really grates on my nerves when people pick apart VIDEO GAME characters for what THEY'RE wearing. I mean, really? Come off it, guys. We wear less IRL. And in a medieval FANTASY world, well, our characters can wear just about whatever they want and it be at least semi-realistic. (Tankinis kind of annoy me, because as a tank, no way would I wear that, not protective enough! LOL! But it's a game and, seriously? What it looks like doesn't affect the gameplay! Also, if it LOOKS cool, who cares?)

eh, even if idgaf about what the OP's character is wearing, there are complaints about in-game armor differences between male and female characters that are legitimate. not just the impracticality, but the fact that all armor is designed for male toons and then just re-rigged for female toons by cutting out pieces of the male armor to make it fit better on the female models. That's lazy and frankly, kind of insulting, don't you think?

I'd like to see a lot more form fitting and revealing male armor myself.

True dat.

Yeah I understand the argument the majority of female armor is ridiculous, though as long as there is a CHOICE to wear something else, it really doesn't matter.

which up until 4.3 wasn't really a choice, because upgrades are upgrades, regardless of what they look like.

and choices are still informed by societal influence blah blah bluh

I don't disagree with that. I have, in the past, seen people practically slut-shaming other people for choosing to even *transmog* their females into revealing gear, and THAT is something I have a beef with.

Here or elsewhere? I've seen that kind of attitude in some of the RP comms, but not necessarily here (not even really in the OP's first post)

I think they mean just in general. Even irl it's an issue. :/

And I'm pretty sure those comments in my first post were deleted, I can't seem to find them now at all. :/

In general, yes. I've seen it in just about every video game community I've ever visited. Obviously it's a very loud minority, but they're so obnoxious they sort of stick in a person's memory, you know?

But yeah, mutual respect is a good thing, and it's really what I'd hope to see.

It works both ways. There needs to be a mutual respect between people no matter what they decide to dress their characters in. Kinda my whole point. xD

Oh heavens, this. So much this. I used to play a lot with a male friend who disapproved of my characters wearing skimpy outfits, and let me know it by bluntly telling me they dressed like a whore.

He's gone from my gaming life, and my characters now wear what I damned well please. My main's boom spec now wears shorts, thigh high red leather boots, a red backless frontless battlestrap, and statement shoulders and my wise and wonderful husband, who understands completely that dressing as you want is not something that should ever, EVER involve shaming, loves it and describes it as her space pirate look.

Slightly OT but I would love to see a picture of your boomys outfit!

Sorry it's only an armoury link, and it's not a perfect mog outfit. Only wish I could get better shorts and belt, but those seem to be the best I've found for this look! (Oh,and this is off-spec, so the real gear's not brilliant.)

If you don't mind a black belt there's always the Bandit Cinch (http://www.wowhead.com/item=9775) right now I'm trying to find a pair of pants that go well with my over the knee black boots.
