It isn't technically *my* character, but originally the Pathaleon the Calculator you saw as a projection wasn't the same one as the one you fought in Mechanar. He was, in fact, using Warden Melchar's model.

This led to my friends and I all deciding Pathaleon was actually a really young nerd who used the projector to make himself look important and powerful, but in reality was just kind of a dork. Of course, they fixed it, but it was still awesome, particularly when Pathaleon pulls out the Lava Dredger and you're being smacked with a giant 'spanner.

That... is such an awesome idea. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" It's the arcane/Naaru technology of giving yourself an impressive-looking gravatar.

Any pet theories about why Sylvanas used to have a night elf model? >.> There was a WoW contest comic a while back where a little forsaken asked if Sylvanas perhaps got into the wrong body by mistake when she came back from being a banshee.

Fred is a running joke from my old Guild. Fred is the collective term for the two Fel Reavers that wander around in Hellfire. Things that big should not be able to sneak up on you like they do!

So my Guildmaster made an apology one night after I was complaining about being squashed again. He said they were after him, and now it had spread to the guild members. It was a matter of cards and money owed to Fred and please, I can't say any more. We've run with that story ever since. And it fits, cause if you kill the Reavers, they only have a few silver on them. My GM cleaned them out at cards!

Not technically what you're asking, but I do believe it's a game bug that you really don't hear them until they're right on top of you. >.<

Psseesh, I hate those things.....scary as heck!!! And....yes you would think something that big and scary would have more loot on them!!

Don't they loot the people they kill? They should have at least a full gold on them! Not just like 50 silver!

Look at it this way. Why would a 500 ton fel reaver NEED money? Do you really think the innkeeper is going to charge him full rate? >.>

Ooo, that's pretty badass. One of my favorite places in NR was the Whispering Gorge in Howling Fjord. I kinda wished they could have done more with that -- like, after you did that quest chain, you would (very occasionally) get whispers from Yogg until and unless you killed him in Ulduar.

I never knew that was a feature of a DBM upgrade!

They put it in a separate addon - DBM Archaeology!

So you can still get whispers :)

When someone forgets to talk to Thrall in Hour of Twilight and we have to go back and get him and he says "Follow me!" My tauren looks around at everyone else and raises her eyebrows.

...do taurens have eyebrows?
