Inspired by the recent post about kickass female NPC's introduced since Cata came out, I wonder if anyone has a favorite zone that they enjoy doing over and over again?
Personally, it's a toss-up between the worgen starting zone and Red Ridge. I like both because there's quite a story you're following. Obviously, the worgen starting zone has to account for how Gilneas goes from being isolated to part of the Alliance and Red Ridge has John J. Keeshan. ;-) Aside from the lore, the worgen starting zone has some really cool characters that you encounter: King Greymane, Lord Crowley, Prince Liam, even Lorna Crowley. It's not just that they're cool, either, but they have their flaws: Greymane for building the damn wall, Crowley for surrendering to Sylvanas when she threatened Lorna (I know that's Silverpine, but still!), Liam for being so noble as to take the arrow meant for his father, and I honestly can't think of a flaw for Lorna. Maybe someone else can? As for Red Ridge, you get to help John J. Keeshan blow up Render's Valley and turn it into Render's Crater. How is that not cool? Then you get in a tank and kill a shit-ton of orcs with him.
I also like Silverpine for similar reasons. You learn more about the Forsaken and why they're even trying to take over Gilneas. You also find out how Godfrey, Ashbury, and Walden end up as Forsaken in Shadowfang Keep (and I thought Godfrey couldn't get worse after he kidnapped King Greymane!). I also like the goblin starting zone simply because the goblins are lots of fun. I like how they establish the sort of society the goblins have before you have to abandon the island and get caught in the battle between the Alliance and the Horde and all. I wish Gallywix had died at some point so Sassy or Megs ended up leading the goblins instead. Bastard.
So, what are your favorites?
