There've been several posts about it on the blizz forums and the responses have been dogpiles from "lol suck it up alliance douche" and the like.

Unfortunately the thread with the lukewarm "apology" from Bashiok is maxed out or I would have stuck my toe in the water there. I haven't used the official forums in years because I was tired of flames from some idiots who got their ya-yas from griefing me but I can't remain silent on this.

There needs to be some kind of acknowledgement from someone higher-up than a forum blue.

Most of the stuff on the forums is about the faction aspect of things anyway. It seems like very few people understand how monumentally shit this is. I'm also hoping that - even though my blog isn't very widely read - it gets picked up by wow blog people and passed around a bit.

Because yeah, you're right, there needs to be an official apology, and honestly a personal one from Samwise.

True. I'm disappointed that most of the outrage against this thing only references the horde/alliance disparity. *whoosh* The point, it was missed.

I know right? Also woah, you're on TB! Are any of the listed characters above Alliance, so I can friend them? :) My main is "Peregrina", and I also have "Selinah" and "Andaviel", so /wave if you see them around.

That is a really excellent post. One of the best about anything I've read in awhile.

How fucking mindblowing is it that people are upset over the faction trashing? That is like the most privileged, disconnected-from-reality response conceivable.

Thank you! And yeah, my jaw was literally agape for a bit when I first started going through the thread. Like it was actually worse than what I'd expected, which was a lot of "lol faggot," because then at least it would have been about the actual problem. :x
