How do deal with this... Dragonwrath
Okay, so my guild is finally starting to kick some FL butt with us at 6/7nm. With Staghelm's death, my gm, first in line for Dragonwrath, got the last of the 25 embers he needed for the first part of the staff. I suddenly realized as he said that, that I am the only other consistent caster in the core raiding group.
When we first found out about the staff, it was decided that my GM would be the first to get the staff, with either the other frequent warlock or the assistant raid leader's mage alt getting it second. The other warlock has since left the game because of life, and the assistant raid leader never takes his mage into FL.
With no other competition in the core group, it seems pretty obvious that I should be next in line. My GM thinks I should be next in line, or at least, that's what he told my boyfriend when he was talking to him at some point where I was offline. My problem is, there are two reserve warlocks that come along every so often when we're missing a core member. I'm not 100% sure that they're going for the staff, but if they are, there's no set in stone rule about the order of people going after the staff.
I'm not sure how to handle this. I think only one person should be working on the staff at a time (or at least, on the same quest level) and, I'm not going to lie, I really want the staff. Just the basic form of the staff would be an upgrade. Both warlocks have lower gear and dps than me.
Should I talk to my GM and ask if the staff order can be set in stone? Should I suck it up and hope I win rolls on the embers? Are reserves entitled to the embers if it's likely I won't finish the staff before T13 anyways?
Also, it is highly unlikely I'll be able to finish the staff in time for T13, but we often do older tier until everyone has some nasty gear gaps filled. As a legendary, the Dragonwrath staff will likely still be a pretty nice staff heading into T13, so worth working on. Should their still be an order for the staff when doing T12 in the T13 patch? Or would it be fair game?
I really really want this staff but I don't want to be a raging asshole about it either.
