Hello WoW Ladies! I am a hobbyist costumer and WoW player, based out of Atlanta. My fiance and I are showcasing two World of Warcraft costumes at this year's Dragon*Con!
My fiance and I rolled our Worgen last year when Cataclysm launched. We liked the Victorian-esque style and fashion of the Gilneans so much that we made a decision to do Worgen costumes for next year's Dragon*Con. Well, the con is upon us and we are ready to show it off! Here are the preview pics of my work -- my fiance's attire is being kept behind the scenes until we reveal it. It's quite dapper!
The gown is meant to mimic the Gilnean Apprentice Robes, but I took it a bit further and made it big and gown-y. Not pictured: the bustle!
Did anyone else really love this staff's design!? I just had to make it! This is my prop. My fiance will walk with the banner below.
We have kept details of the facial make-up and prosthetics under wraps, but here are two preview shots of mine from development. The finished faces have fangs, pointer snouts ... and Master Prudhomme has some serious mutton chops. :)
There are a couple more Behind-the-Scenes pics and snippets on our
Facebook page. We'd love to get pics with some WoW Ladies! We will probably be hanging out in the Marriott near the costuming track for most of the weekend, so if you see us please come say "hi!" Have a great one :)
