Weird question

I sure hope this makes sense.

For each race in WoW, is there a class they are best suited for?  What about professions?  I'm trying to figure this out at work, while it's slow, but all the fun WoW sites are blocked.  Stupid firewall >.<

Thanks for the help!

character: creation, !tag me please, general: just curious

Well, Tauren make herbing much faster. I don't even curse the druids while out herbing, anymore.

Tauren druids, that is all.

It's true; those still have an edge, but I just can't curse my fellow Horde.

The thing I realized with Worgen is that they get the +15 to skinning because... there is VERY LITTLE to skin in the starting zones! Sure, you can skin the foxes, but... yeah. You spend your entire time fighting undead and forsaken, with some Horde thrown in. Which means by the time you get to the end of the starting zone, your +15 bonus puts you where you should be if hadn't been stuck in Gilneas for 12 levels.

Which, tbh, was nice of Blizzard, really. But I still wish they had kept their original plan of not requiring Worgen to have skinning knives. ^.^

Goblin: Alchemy
Blood elf: Enchanting
Draenei: Jewelcrafting
Worgen: Skinning
Tauren: Herbing

And that's all I know for professions without looking it up. >_>

Tauren herbalists are even better as druids for loltastic bird herbing.

I believe that trolls and orcs make good hunters and, because of trinket like racials, undead and I think humans(?)make good pvp strong specs/classes.

Personal preference: I think trolls make the best shaman. Because they look cool. And beserking. Man I love that racial.

yeah, humans basically get the free PVP trinket.

Gnomes have the engineering racial!

IIRC trolls get a boost while using bows. (And dwarfs get a gun boost) and the human racial Every man for himself is basically the same thing as the PvP trinket. The orc boost is a pet damage boost, so they'd make good hunters or warlocks.

Trolls make the best shaman because OF THEIR TOTEMS.

That is all.

Gnomes actually don't have a boost to intellect anymore now that int also gives spellpower, they just have a 5% increased mana pool, which is still good, but not as nice as an int boost would be.

There generally aren't really best classes for a race, but there are a few races that have advantages in one role or another. For example, night elves are excellent tanks because of their +2% avoidance that stacks with everything. Orcs get a bonus to pet damage, so they make good hunters. Gnomes get a bonus to intellect, which is great for casters. Tauren have slightly more health than any other race. And so on. However, unless you're minmaxing, the advantages are slight; there's no really bad choices.

However, there are best races for some professions, like the mentioned tauren herbalists and worgen skinners, which both gather faster than normal.

Moment of stupidity-- strike hunter, replace with pet class. Hunter, unholy DK, I think warlock counts...
