when you open the options click 'panels' tab 'move tab)'
you should then get plus/minus signs next to each of the separate panels - you can use this to 'remove the sub panels' from the private/main tank panel, and if you remove all of them this effectively deletes the panel.
You can do that for each panel you want to get rid of.
what pewter said -- if you click the last tab, think it's panels, it brings it up in a mode where you can fiddle with the settings with all the options up. The panels have a red/green x and +, hit the x twice to get rid of the panels. I keep the pet panel but if you go into one of the other tabs, and I know I'm so helpful but I can't recall which one LOL, you can click 'hide empty panels' so when you're not grouped with anyone with a pet the panel won't show. I keep the panel in the options because my family and I run old raid content and it's not uncommon for us to have a pet tanking. :)
I left healbot for the same issues. Got sick and tired of errors even when it was the updated version. :(
