So! I don't know if this has been talked about here or not - BUT! Today, a guildie of mine learned that it is 100% possible to solo the whale shark in Vashj'ir...If you're ranged, that is.
After a little trial and error, she figured out that it's slow enough that you can kite it by back peddling, you just have to maintain a range of about 10-15 yards on it (a range check mod is super helpful for this), closer and you'll get oneshot, too far away and it'll reset.
After she did it on her hunter, I tried it on mine - Took about 25 minutes of kiting - about one full loop around the old god thing, she helped on her 80 Lock, and a Shaman I think stepped in at random at the very end, but it's actually VERY simple to do.
No loot, but the achievement is nice - Especially since we're the only two people on our server with it right now, as far as we both know.
SO, if you're a nerdpoint fan, and have an extra hour or so on your hands, give it a shot - I'm a fresh 85 survival hunter in not great gear, so I'm sure someone in heroic stuff could down it way faster than I did.
