Hey, my pally has that same heirloom chest/shoulder... when my shammy's not using it. lol I looked at the cloth pieces and they weren't that great for what I needed, so I went with the mail. Been working out great so far ( ... )

Your spec and gear are fine. :) Look for pieces with high int and spell power. Crit, MP5, and Haste are icing on that delicious cake.

When I leveled my holy paladin, I preferred using Flash of Light. So, I used Seal of Light and Flash of Light glyphs. If you're holy lighting, go with Holy Light and Seal of Wisdom glyphs.

Yes Glyphs! My personal favourite is Glyph of Holy Light - is the closest thing after Beacon of Light that us Holy Paladins have to an AoE spell. The minor glyph for blessing of wisdom is also quite useful...

I agree with the above poster in that we don't really have a rotation... more just spam HL or FL depending on the damage, HS is good for an instant cast.
