Mystery Trip 2016
Hi everyone!
To celebrate our 11th birthday, we'll be hosting another mystery trip!
Choose six screenshots from the mystery trip gallery to copy. Put your character in similar clothes with similar mounts/pets/accessories, get into the same (or a similar) pose, and snap a screenshot. Email the screenshots to officers at dota-guild.com with your character name. We'll score the screenshots by accuracy, award points, and then will announce the winners within a few days!
The screenshots
ALL CRITERIA
Location: Location must match the screenshot. You may get half points if the location is very similar.
Pets: For pets, any pet that has a similar effect (e.g. fiery or spectral, or both are cats, or both are cute elementals) will score full points. A pet that is otherwise similar (e.g. in color) will award half points.
Gear: We understand that a lot of gear is specific to a certain armor class or a certain class in game. There are a variety of things you can do to get full points for gear even if you aren't the same class or can't wear that armor. Color is a big factor. If someone is wearing raid tier gear, you could also wear some raid tier gear from a similar raid. Screenshot armor has a long cape? You should have a long cape. Color and "essence" of the armor are more important than directly having the same armor. Make sure glows are represented as well. If you make an effort at all, you'll get half points. If you get pretty close or have some of the armor exact, you'll get full points.
Pet Location: In some screenshots, the pet's location will be worth a point. Just get the pet to roughly the same place.
Effects: Some screenshots may show an effect that is gained via a spell, toy, or a buff/debuff that can be obtained in that area. If you don't have the exact item to make that happen, don't worry about it. Just be creative trying to re-create the same effect in order to get full points. For example, one year we had a screenshot that used a toy that created music notes. One person didn't have the toy, but used a singing sunflower pet to make music notes to get full points.
