Hi everyone,
The guild bank has seen a major overhaul recently, and I'd like everyone to familiarize themselves with the new tabs, deposit guidelines, and other changes. Below is what each tab is now going to be named, the items each one will contain, general information on how the officers will be maintaining the bank, and "do not deposit" lists.
Originally, tabs were somewhat broken up by guild rank, and we've more or less abandoned that setup for one that is overall more accessible to everyone in the guild, outside of the request (previously "raid") and deposit tabs, which will remain more or less unchanged. Members will deposit donated items into the deposit tab and officers will sort them into their appropriate tabs. However, we do have certain items on our "do not deposit" list - if you'd like to donate these types of items toward the bank or its funds, please consider auctioning the item yourself and depositing the gold in the bank.
Both Little Sisters and Sisters will have five (5) withdrawals from the Welcome, Glyphs, Recipes, Old World Mats, and Enhancements tabs, and three (3) withdrawals from the Draenor tabs. Neither rank will have withdrawal privileges for the Request or Deposit tabs. If there is an item in either tab that you would like, or if you have exceeded your daily limit for any of the other tabs and there are more items you are interested in, please contact an officer (details on requesting items from the Request tab are forthcoming). The Deposit tab is the only tab through which members of the guild can donate items - from there, officers will sort items into the appropriate tabs.
Additionally, we will have a guild bank wishlist/request post in the future, but it isn't currently implemented. Watch this space!
The new setup is as follows:
1. Welcome: This tab has bags, toys, fun/flavor items, and pets.
Maintenance to this tab will be done by selling off excess pets, toys, and other items, or by selling off any items that have been in the tab for a long period of time without being used. Officers will attempt to keep this tab stocked with bags from either their personal stores or from donations to the bank.
2. Glyphs: This tab has glyphs organized first by class, then by majors and minors.
Officers will maintain this tab by selling off excessive numbers of glyphs.
3. Recipes: This tab will contain profession recipes of all kinds, organized by profession.
Officers will maintain this tab by selling off recipes we have doubles for.
4. Old World Mats: Any crafting mats from pre-Warlords of Draenor (cloth, leather, ore, uncut gems, etc.).
Maintenance will be done on this tab by selling off any mats we have in excess of one stack.
5. Draenor: Any Draenor crafting mats or blue gear from Draenor.
Maintenance on this tab will be done by selling crafting mats in excess of three stacks (this number may change as the expansion goes on, depending on the free space at the time) and by selling off excess or old blues.
6. Enhancements: This tab will contain Draenor green gems and "breath" enchants, Draenor health, mana, agility, strength, intellect, etc. potions, 75 stat food, 200 stat flasks, and Ashran PvP enhancements.
Maintenance on this tab will be done by moving any excess potions to the request tab specifically for raiding use, and by selling off any gems, food, and enchants in excess of one stack for each type. 200-stat flasks in the excess of one stack will be moved to the request tab for crafting into 250-stat flasks for raiding use.
7. Requests: This tab will be a combination of a request tab and a raid tab. Everyone can view this tab but only officers can withdraw from it. Anything exceptionally rare will go in these tabs, and members can request them. The raid side of this tab will include things such as 100 stat feasts, 250 stat flasks, excess health, mana, and primary stat potions that will be available to raiders, and BoE items from Draenor raids. The request end of this tab (available to anyone as long as they request it) will contain things such as epic crafted items, level 25 pets, and rare toys.
Raid BoEs (not crafted items, unless requested by the original donator of the item) will be limited to in-guild raiders - we will be sorting the details out on this one soon, so stay tuned for updates (this post will be updated when the changes are made, and a new post will be made as well alerting everyone of the decision). (Out-of-guild members are eligible to roll on raid BoEs if they are present in the raid when the item drops, but if no one in the raid needs the item, it will then be moved to the guild bank and will only be open to in-guild raiders.)
Flasks and potions in this tab will be available for use by the guild's raiders by requesting them from an officer at any time before or during raid (please note that there should also be potions available in the Enhancements tab for all guild members, but these ones are specifically for raiders in case of an emergency mid-raid).
This tab will be maintained by selling off excessive items (i.e., when the items in the tab are beyond what we would feasibly use as a guild). This is to avoid the situation we had toward the end of Pandaria where we still had ~200 feasts and other Pandaria raid items and consumables in the bank after 6.0 hit.
8. Deposits: Guild members will deposit items into this tab and then items will be sorted into their appropriate tabs by an officer. In the event that an item is not appropriate for the guild bank, it will be mailed back to you so you can decide what to do with it. If you don't want it, you can vendor or auction it and donate the gold in the bank if you wish to donate to the bank in that way.
Do not deposit list:
Bags with less than 16 slots
Pets that can be obtained via vendor
Pets that do not sell for more than 25g on the auction house
Plans: Copper Chain Vest
Any vendor recipes (exceptions can be made for rare vendor recipes that are now hard to get with cross-realm zones)
Thorium blacksmithing plans
Radiant blacksmithing plans
Anything that still drops as a recipe when it is now trainer-taught
Old world enchanting mats (anything pre-Draenor)
Any pre-Draenor cut gems (uncut gems are OK)
Clam meat of any kind
Any pre-Draenor cooked food
Any pre-Pandaria meat or fish
Any pre-Draenor enhancements
Any pre-Draenor potions
Any pre-Draenor enchants
Any buff items (stamina scrolls, heroism drums, etc.) that are not part of the current expansion
Lockboxes (you can mail all lockboxes to Jordynna to unlock if you like)
Blacksmithing keys
Gear in general (excluding Draenor gear)
Any pre-Draenor first aid
Note: Some of the items in the do not deposit list have been in the bank since before the revamp and may remain there until we have time to auction them off.
Bank etiquette:
Especially now that crafting mats stack to 200, please note that you can take a partial stack of an item by shift-clicking it in the guild bank tab itself, just like you can with items in your personal bags. This will count toward your daily withdrawal limit just like any other bank withdrawal, but will ensure that if you don't need an entire stack of an item, another member can take some of the items from the same stack as well without waiting on an officer moving the item back from the deposits to the appropriate tab. If you do take an entire stack of an item and later realize you don't need that much, just put the remainder in the deposit tab and an officer will move it back when she can.
Most importantly, when depositing items into the guild bank, please consider that if you only have 2 (for example) of a certain crafting material and there isn't already a stack started in the bank or it is not a high-demand item, wait until you have a larger stack before making a deposit. Officers manually organize the bank tabs, and little things like this add up and it will make things much easier for whoever is currently in charge of the bank!
Thank you for reading, and we hope everyone enjoys the new setup!
