Herald of the Titans #2

Aug 24, 2012 17:14

Hello everyone,

Herald is finalized for Saturday from 9 AM to 10:15 AM (ignore the currently empty DPS spot, as it is actually filled, but I need to poke Crunchy to sign up). I had to cut the raid a little bit short because I was called in to work for 10:30 ST, but I don't anticipate us having any problems downing the boss within that time.

Please watch this video for Herald: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRfVDgTLMGA

A few differences since the video was taken:
- There is no longer any need for an Algalon key.
- There is no longer a 60-minute timer upon pulling Algalon.

Proxim will be on Collapsing Stars.

Both tanks will be responsible for bringing Living Constellations over black holes in order to close them, so make sure you understand how to do that. They move fairly slowly, so what you essentially need to do is run around to the other side of a black hole in order to make sure that the Living Constellation you have aggro on will go over the hole and close it. Keep in mind that we will need black holes to go into for Big Bang.

Pinxy will be using Dispersion for Big Bangs, which means that tanks can chain their cooldowns while tanking Algalon and don't need to save any for Big Bang. What this also means is everyone should learn the timing with Big Bang and the black holes. While it's meant to be an artistic video and not a strategy one, this video shows the timing really well on Big Bang and shows how to run through it in order to be phased correctly and not be re-phased again immediately (as an FYI, it has some language at the end o/). You can also watch the Cosmic Smash timing and movement to get an idea of what that will be like.

Thank you, everyone - see you there! :)
