Zara's flinging herself in with a bang of a door and a furious curse, as her day has been not so boring, but infinitely, it would seem, more infuriating.
She's positively smoking, her hair dishevelled, and her face is twisted up with being angry, sharp and pointed and angry, and she snarls, and again she looks like a tigress, a trapped tigress in a woman's body, desperate to get out and claw someone to pieces. It's not her glowery everydayness, it's something different: as he says, a full fury.
Justin isn't afraid of Zara at all, not even when she gets like this. Justin isn't afraid of anything except himself and maybe Florian being disappointed in him or something bad happening to Rina.
This probably explains why he stands up and walks a bit closer to her.
"And I suppose y've got something to say, too, haven't you? Well? Y'want to get your throat torn out? I'll do it for you, I'll do it neatly, maybe'll it make me feel better. Damn you, what d'you say?"
"No," sneered. "The hell with you. I've got no use for you, any of you. See if I don't take up with a monarchist just for the hell of it, terrify some fool into making me his mistress. See if I don't! Live with a lot of stupid finery and not bother about you or Rina or Stock or Florian!"
Oh, she would. She'd probably murder her merchant or run away or do something horribly scandalous within a week, anyway, just to stir things up. At any rate, now, she gives him a horrible fierce look and bares her teeth at him.

"'lo, Zara," he says.

There's always something kind of fascinating about Zara in a full fury.

He doesn't have anything to say, really. He doesn't have anything to say quite a lot of the time.
He shrugs again.

Justin eyes her warily, reasonably sure that she wouldn't, in fact, do this. She'd find it boring.
