***From what I gather from the list, there's a gathering taking place at Corona Del Mar beach this coming Sunday, per Rainhopper's info:
Sorry for the delay in getting these out, as you can tell I've been a very busy roo.
ok, we are going down to the corona del mar area. Its really easy to get to unfortunately I havent got a real good map so directions from the 5 shall have to do for now (I suck at giving directions so if someone can revise these or post a few modified maps I would love you!
Here are the long/lat coordinates. put these into google maps with your address as the start address and it will bring you right to me.
33.594460, -117.877614 <-- copy and paste that into the google maps function should work jus fine, otherwise use irvine as a start city and that as the final destination.
I will be to the right of guard shack 3 setting up by one of the pits. I will work to get a blue tent thing so we can be noticed easier, but otherwise just look for the half burnt kangaroo!
So far got a few people plus waggs and alphawolf showin up, bring some things that can make cooking over a bonfire easier =)

I also found a description on the beach itself:
Corona Del Mar State Beach lies just to the south of the better known Newport and Balboa beaches, but has its own distinct character, thanks to the rocky cliffs behind the south side of the beach.
There's everything you'd want to make chilling out easy - picnic tables, BBQ pits, volleyball nets, showers and food concessions. The swimming's great too, and don't forget your body board when the surf's up.
The northern end of the beach is bounded by the Newport Bay breakwater - a popular fishing spot. To the south lies the rocky Inspiration Point, a super place to snorkel or scuba dive when the water is calm. If you prefer to stay out of the water, and have a head for heights, the rocks around the point make a popular bouldering circuit.
***Event as far as I know is taking place on Sunday, July 20th... I will post more as I see it on the list...:)
