[ Looking away from the laptop and across to the next lounge chair, Arthur smiles across, flicking the sunglasses up with a finger to get a better look, eyes scanning the length of her body, pale skin beaming beneath the rays of sun, hair glistening gold in places, and there's a wry little smile that tugs up the corners of his mouth. ]
You look comfortable. [ He looks down at the abandoned bottle of sun lotion, uncapped and on the ground, then looks back up. ] Did you put enough of that stuff on? I don't want you burning.
[ Stretching so that her toes curl against the chair, mouth lifting up into a smile. ] I don't know, are you offering to help check if I missed a spot?
[ Pushing her glasses up her head and turning her face towards him. ] I might get in the pool in a minute, wouldn't want to waste those clever hands of yours.
It's possible that I might. [ He winks, a rare little gesture, before letting the glasses drop back down into place to perch on the bridge of his nose. Turning back to face the laptop, he adds in the usual teasing tone. ] Walking around with someone who's bright red isn't my idea of fun.
[ The pool is tempting in the heat, Eames not exactly a downside to the idea, but he promised to do a spot of research for Cobb and have it finished by the end of the day - for a small fee, of course - but the truth is he misses the work. Hiding out and being on the run is better than he's ever known it to be this time around, Eames being a large part of that, so he doesn't complain, and he knows he doesn't need it, not really, but sitting around doing nothing isn't really something he's ever been good at.
He almost sounds disappointed when he replies, fingers returning to typing away on the keys, but there's still the hint of a smile. ] We wouldn't want that. You go ahead, I'll admire the view.
[ Swinging her legs off the side of the lounge seat, she casts a glance over the view, the highrise buildings and the city in front of her. She moves to retie her bikini around her neck before stopping. Really, the only person around is Arthur, and Eames is nothing but horribly European at the best of times. She discards the top and lets it fall to her seat, voice turning mischevious. ]
If it's a view you want, love.
[ She steps away towards the pool, hips slinking as she walks. With the water glistening in the sun, everything looks gorgeous, and she can't help but dive in immediately, letting the warm water rush over her head. Resurfacing, she winks in Arthur's direction before starting to swim slow, lazy laps on her back, calling over to him. ] You work too hard
[ The noise the material makes as it hits the chair forces Arthur to look across, curious, but not surprised to realise what it is. He glances up in time to see Eames diving into the pool, all but naked with the water hugging at her flesh, and he knows when the comment comes that she did it on purpose, more to gain his attention than for comfort. He also knows he won't be able to focus much on whatever it is he's supposed to be looking up, suddenly forgetting everything that isn't in the pool in front of him.
With a frustrated sigh, he saves the documents he's got laid open and closes down the laptop, setting it aside in the shade with a towel covering it. ] You're wicked, I hope you know that.
I'm very aware. [ She doesn't sound all that peturbed by it though, kicking her feet lazily to float along the length of the pool. ] But I feel it's my duty to drag you from your work haze, otherwise you'll make yourself sick from it.
It never ends well when I'm kept from working, Miss Eames.
[ Getting up from the lounge chair, he grabs the hem of the white t-shirt he's wearing, transparent in places where it's sticking to his skin with sweat, and pulls it up over his head, dropping it to the side. He walks to the pool and lowers himself down to sit on the edge, feet dangling into the water. ] But since you're so deprived of attention, it'd be rude not to come and keep you company.
You're a good boy. [ She floats nearer him with a smile, hair in wet tendrils fanning out from the water. It's with a little mischevious smirk that she lets her feet drop until she's standing, half-walks, half-slides over to where he is, trailing droplets over his knee. ] You wouldn't want me to drown out of boredom, would you?
[ He pretends as if he's about to say yes, a playfully sinister smile pulling up the corner of his mouth, and he kicks out a foot, splashing a bit of water her way. ] It'd be a shame to lose you now after everything we've been through to get here. [ There's a fond tone in there that says more than he can with words, and he lets himself drop into the pool from the edge, the water warm, but soothing in the heat. ] And I'm used to having you around.
[ When he splashes her she gives a little squeal but laughs anyway, spinning round in the water when Arthur dives in. ] You know you love it, darling. I'm here to liven up your life.
[ Approaching him by kicking her feet, Eames darts into the space in front of him, pressing up against his warm body, water dripping over her and on to his skin. ] You all right, love? You've been quiet since we saw the Cobblets.
