((The explanation (finally!) is: that I decided to go with the heroic route. Fontaine is not pretending (that was the other option), but is truly fighting with his split personality of Atlas. I want Atlas back. I adore him. And I'm a silly little sap who wants him to go back home and be a hero rather than a villain. Sue me. --I had a psychic/magic volunteer or two, yes...? :3))
