(no subject)
Well, Thomasville is still... well... Thomasville, but I guess it's getting a little better now that I've met some people. Got a call from this girl I met a couple months ago asking to meet up with her & a few other girls for lunch yesterday (which was ok I guess) then got invited to one of their houses for a like "meet Amandad party" last night. The getty was cool cause there were like 15 people there and we watched "SCHOOL OF ROCK" and ate pizza and just had a good time getting to know each other. Oh and you definitely know you're in the south when the names of some of your new friends are Sara Jo, Mary Catherine, & Crighton lol; well I can't complain 'cause they have been nothing but overly-caring and welcoming. Anyways tonight I went to this joke-of-a-scrimage thingy at the school, met some more people, then went to Applebee's with like 20 people afterwards. It was pretty good I guess, at least I've gotten to know most of the faces (some very cute guys as well) that I'll be spending the year with without having to deal with the overwhelming reality of the 1st day of school as a complete stranger.
Other than that, its just been a lot of driving, a lot of cleaning, and a lot of missing Miami. I mean yeah sure I still talk to almost everyone, but I'm starting to see a couple people starting to grow distant and I feel like I'm the only one trying to keep some of my cherished friendships alive. So yeah, I guess it's just prayer and patience. Prayer and patience. God knows what he's doing, so this will all work itself out for the better I guess.
