A new year by another calender always inspires the impression of a fresh start, does it not? Why not. Through out your existence you will only have so many opportunities. Why not take a chance?

Start a new, citizens. Purify your heart, mind and soul. Come as you are to your Father in Heaven.

Confess.

I stray too far from my mother's ideals, perhaps her wishes for what she wanted me to be.

[ooc; l-lol, she won't be cryptic about it, she'll explain DX]

For what reason?

My mother was murdered when I was fairly young by someone I know -- my father. And I guess her death harbored more hatred than actual grief over the years. It shouldn't bug me as much as it should, but someone said I carry more grudges and hatred, and it does come back to her. The sad part is, I know my mother wouldn't want me to be like this.

Hate will poison you. Cast it out or it will taint those who you care for most.

You're correct to think that your mother would have wanted a different outcome. Any mother wishes her child to be happy. I don't for see happiness emerging from the waters of bitterness.

Then I confess hatred for my father and anything that ties to him as well.

I know. I know she would, she was a very devout woman. I just don't like to admit to it and that I'm wrong.

What has that hatred brought you? As I see it, you're protected from grief and confusion.

Admittance will lead to change.

I have yet to figure that out, even now. His actions- they're unforgivable.

I really don't know anymore. If that's the case, then it's brought nothing than an aggravating loop of emotions and actions.

The path to forgiving one who has gravely wronged you is long and treacherous. For now, I would focus on setting yourself free of hatred. He is undeserving of so much of your energies, especially when they upset you so.
