WARNING: this is so unnecessarily verbose. I feel the need to get all of my DIGI-FEELINGS out at once since I have very few outlets guys!
-Pinnochimon (what was he in the dub...Puppetmon?) was exceptionally disturbing to me! he is portrayed almost as an incredibly warped, friendless child who JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. homg. like okay whatever let's kill the sea serpent thing and the robotic death machine and the creepy ass clown, but when you're a weird little puppet who is just LOOKING FOR WHAT YOU ARE MISSING, that gets really crazy and sad. and the way he uses little kid toys except they are so explicitly violent (gosh the GUNS. the JACK IN THE BOX WITH THE GUN, WHAT). it's so morbid! nnggghhhhhhhdsfkkkkkkk
-SO MUCH DEATH. after a while, every time a Digimon we'd met before came along i was basically counting on their death because I blocked SO MUCH OF THIS OUT. man, Digimon. wtf?????? QUIT PLAYING GAMES WITH MY HEART. JEEZE.
-My Sister's Keeper!!! an episode that struck me so much as a small thing, right to my very immature emotional core. it honestly may have even made me cry! and dude that episode -- also SUPER DISTURBING. the race to get the medicine and the way Koushirou is giving them away completely, and you know it and JUST WANT HIM TO STOP. and the way Digimon crafts just the right atmosphere! so brilliant. a completely abandonded but pristine town. and the colors! SO WHITE WASHED AND CREEPY. all together now: fucking eerie.
-conclusion: the Dark Masters? SO FUCKING DISTURBING. and we are not even to the 02 shenanigans!
-Digimon drinking game. 1 drink whenever either Taichi or Yamato cry. seriously. (also, Mimi, and..everyone, but I just love that the two main guys basically cry all over everyone, tho thankfully evade the obnoxiousness of jears.)

I am so shocked at the extent to which Digimon makes me multiship. EVERYONE HAS CHEMISTRY WITH EVERYONE HOKAY. JUDGE ME. :(
-Takeru: way cooler than I remember? ULTIMATE TRUTH. I am going to go into 02 with an open mind about 02!Takeru even though I remember him being the boringest. but man, him in Pinnochimon's mansion = the most B.A. he can scheme with the best of them & YOU RIP THAT SHIT UP, TAKERU.
-PS I love that Yamato's doll has ultimate >:( face going. ROFL.
-I enjoyed the semi-subtle build up to Yamato's breakdown (his expressions were just so loaded!) more than his actual breakdown! I cared a lot more for his angst than I had ever done before for about half an episode, and then it got ridic again. what else is to be expected. (I still love him, I promise!) tho I do enjoy the mindfuckery of them being PITTED AGAINST EACH OTHER. hooobooyyyy.

REINFORCEMENTS TO THE PAIN. and Koushirou was being all irrational and worried and wanting to push forward because Taichi was getting beat up! GUYS IT WAS SO CUTE AND THEY BOTH HAVE MATURED TO THE MAX. gosh. goshhhhsdf. also I will give Taito shippers that teary reunion of "I knew you would come". looool i do not remember that but it certainly is pretty slashy!

homg i had very little memory of that at all guys and MONTAGES. mon-ficken-tages!!!! THeY ALWAYS GET ME. when everyone was talking about how THEY'VE GROWN and they flashback'ed to important moments and OH GOD. oh dear god. my little heart. i could not take it. MY DOOFY DIGIKIDS ALL GROWN UP ;_;

I remember when the last two episodes aired. for some reason there was a month between the 52nd episode & the 53rd/54th, and I would tune in every Saturday, so hopefully that I would finally see ~the conclusion~, but ALAS to no friggen avail. and I think I caught a commercial during the week or something for the last two episodes, and had the foresight to tape at least the last one. and it broke my damn heart. IT BROKE IT SO HARD. I had no real concept of serialized television, in any way, and I vaguely remember them talking about the 2nd season on that last Saturday, but I had to ask my mom about it later because I just didn't get it. and still then, I was skeptical. THIs WAS MY SHOW, AND IT WAS OVER. this was all I understood, and it HURT.
and I watched that tape over and over that summer until it absolutely wore down. goshhhhh. and there are totally images from that episode just completely burned into my mind -- the solar eclipse, Sora and Piyomon crying in the tree, Yamato playing his fucking harmonica for the last time, Hikari giving Tailmon her whistle, Palamon running after the train car, and Mimi's hat fluttering past the open gates. oh goddddd. IT HITS ME RIGHT WHERE IT HURTS.
