CASSELBERRY -- A Casselberry man faces manslaughter and destruction of evidence charges in the accidental shooting death of a man at a party Sunday.

Steven Christopher Jameson, 20, of 1458 Sunshadow Drive, was arrested late Sunday after surrendering to Casselberry Police at a Winter Springs convenience store.

Police first learned of the shooting from emergency room staff at Winter Park Memorial Hospital where Matthew Metzger had taken the 19-year-old victim, Charles David Stirman Jr. Stirman, who had a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, was pronounced dead on arrival by the emergency room staff.

Metzger told police he had a party at his apartment on Northern Dancer Way and heard a gunshot. When he walked into his living room he saw Jameson standing over Stirman with a gun in his hand.

Metzger told police that Jameson said the shooting was an accident then fled in a gold-colored pickup truck.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jameson and a search warrant for his house and vehicle. Jameson was not at home when police arrived, but they were able to contact him on his mobile phone. After surrendering, Jameson told detectives he accidentally shot Stirman and disposed of the gun by throwing it off a bridge into a lake.

Jameson remains at the Seminole County Jail on a $9,000 bond.

4 things:
1. This event happened not too far from my house.
2. Word of mouth story is, Chuck was bleeding for three hours because others were scared to take him to the hospital.
3. Guns, alcohol, and drugs to not mix.
4. Apparently I went to HS with Chuck.

Events like these make me really bitter. People are so fucking careless and stupid. DON'T PLAY WITH LOADED GUNS YOU DUMB FUCKS!
