A Quizzy.
What I remember from school:
K: I fought with Russ Wilborn because I found out he was cheating on "Memory."
1st: I met Tou and Xong Mua. I overheard my teacher making fun of me to another teacher because I didn't know where anybody in my extended family lived.
2nd: My teacher was in love with everything Mexican.
3rd: I started gifted. It was the only year until much later that there were any other gifted kids in class with me. Donnie threatened to beat me up if I wouldn't be his friend.
4th: My teacher, Ms. Garrett, died. She was shot in the head by her neighbor. Matt Spruill and I had a rivalry about whose method of time travel was more likely to work.
5th: I had my first classes in Bramlett. Mrs. Power was exceptionally cool, but my gifted teacher was a hateful old bitch. I made my first "B". It was in science.
6th: Steve gave me my first fantasy novel. It was The Hand of Chaos. I officially became a geek.
7th: I made my first series of "C"s. I realized that I didn't get along with most people. I got angry and hit a kid and cried my way out of it. Jesse and Dakota became skaters.
8th: I won the local Optimists Club's speech contest. I constantly felt like teachers were trying to get rid of us as fast as possible.
9th: I faced my first problems with school paperwork. I was dropped and readmitted into gifted. Mrs. Saxon showed us her fetus. I didn't go on the class trip.
10th: I started roleplaying. I argued with Mr. Perry about Hemingway. I had APUSH with Shadie Thompson.
11th: I had AP Euro. I was a captain of a magnificently horrible debate team. I made Mr. Woodall present an argument about why I should return to gifted. I had my first anatomy class.
12th: I had Mr. Bursen's two history classes. I had mythology with Mr. Perry. Charlie and I had Spanish together.
