[Loki is finally fed up with waiting. Hiccup has to be done with the devices by now. He picks up the phone and dials Hiccup, holding the phone up to his ear, waiting for it to ring.]

[...huh. Is that... that's a weird sound. Is that... a busy signal? Must be.]

[...why is this device not working.

Loki pulls it away from his ear and glares at it. Hanging it up a little harder than necessary, he tries again.]

[...okay and now the phone is ringing. Hiccup picks it up.]

Hello?

There you are! Your phone wasn't working right. It made weird sounds at me until I hung up and tried again.

I think that's called a busy signal. It happens when you try to call someone and they're using the phone to call someone else.

...which is funny, 'cause I was just trying to call you.

....wait, a connection can't be made that way? But if two people are calling one another, then that makes no sense.

Well no, 'cause the connection depends on there being a point of reception, and if both people are calling, neither person can be the receiver.

[There is silence for a few seconds.]

You'd think they'd find a way to fix that by now.

I dunno, maybe. Anyway, what were you calling about?

It's about those devices you're working on. You wouldn't happen to have been calling me with good news about them, would you?

Oh yeah. That's why I was calling. They're all done.
