Right now it's not so bad. She doesn't have her spark or anything so we've got a truce going on that's been working okay for the past month or so. I... do nice things for her every now and then. She always seems so surprised when I do. I can understand why, by all rights I should... [He trails off and shrugs, looking away as he does so. He's getting dangerously close to we don't talk about it territory.]
