[Hiccup takes a breath and shakes his head.] Sorry. No, this is something that happened before I even got here, and I guess the town decided that it'd be nice to let me have only one leg again.

[He blinks, then grins a bit.] Yeah, I guess I did. Since... battle against a giant dragon is still a battle. I just never really thought of it like that.

[He shrugs slightly.]

Well, it used to be that my village fought dragons for hundreds of years, because they were constantly attacking. But it turned out that dragons are actually on their own pretty friendly, they were just being controlled by this big giant dragon that was making them bring it food and stuff.

And to kill it... well it was everybody in the village, and my friends on dragonback, but in the end it was just me and Toothless who fought and killed it.

Then you are an impressive warrior. I would say you are worthy of being Astartes from that feat along, and I would have spoken your name to my brothers among the Salamanders. However.... I cannot, in this place.

Well. No. Lucrezia lost the ability to do that, but he still has the... thing which forces him to obey when she does have the ability, so if she ever gets it back... [He shrugs.] But we had a talk and we're giving her a second chance.

Weeeeell there's other stuff going on, and it probably will end up being a really bad idea later, but... I wanted to give her the option, you know?
