First of all, do not go see The Good Shepherd. Ali and I went and saw it last night, and it is nothing like the previews make it out to be. Instead of a pleasant CIA-thriller or intriguing character drama, we were given a three hour film containing no interesting plot nor characters to care about. We sat through it waiting for something to happen or someone to say or do something that we would care about. Believe me, I love the character drama, but this was not a good one. Especially as the main character's schtick was that he was emotionless. While this worked for Helen Mirren in The Queen (as she was the only good part) it does not work for Matt Damon. If you are still curious about it and want to make up your mind for yourself, wait for it to come out on DVD.
Second, not movie related. I'm not sure if you've notice but LJ is doing this thing about books. I can't remember what it's called but it something like the 50 book challenge. You have to read 50 books in the year 2007. I'm not going to include textbooks so that will make it a bit harder. I'm going to try my damnedest to do this, which means that I will have to average about a book a week.
So here goes:
0 / 50

Somewhere I will keep a list of which books I've read and what i'm reading... Probably in my profile so if you're interested in keeping up with it, you can read it there!
