So as some of you may or may not know, my mom and I are putting on a huge garden charity event May 15th and 16th at our house. It's called
A Harvest of Hope and all of the proceeds are going to Feeding America, an organization that secures and distributes food to a network of over 200 food banks which support food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and after-school programs, and A.S.A.P. (A Self-help Assistance Program), which operates in Zimbabwe where they train and provide people with knowledge and tools, including seeds and drip systems, to grow food in communities where people are struggling to get access to food and even starving.
The event will feature really great gardening lectures (including one about gardening in small spaces, which is perfect for people in apartments or with limited space!), music, and lots and lots of handmade, recycled, and organic goods from a ton of great vendors. One of which will be me!
I'm making about 2 dozen paper kites using really beautiful and fun papers from local artist supply stores. I need some help, though, as I'm super busy with work and school (as we all are), so Nicole and I are having a Craft night tomorrow (Friday) night. We'll be making fun things and having an Ethan Embry movie marathon (as we've recently bonded in our love for him.) So if you wanna come get crafty, or just hang out and watch movies, then head over to my house tomorrow night for some fun!
Also, if you want to help me make kites at any time, just let me know!
