APRIL
"I can show you the world - shining, shimmering, splendid."
More redheads! After one simple meeting, Florence found herself admiring April. It's clear to Florence that April has had a significant impact on her own world - an impact that Florence wishes to haves on her own life and the lives of others, rather than meekly residing in the background. As a fellow idealist who is nothing short of a shining ray of optimism, Florence is drawn to the other girl and intrigued by the stories she has to share. Florence has already silently vowed to care for April whenever it's needed.

AUSTRIA
"Sing us a song, you're the piano man."
Freud's not!dad (and she silently pities him because of it) and the first country she met upon arriving in Mayfield. Aside from that, Florence thinks of Austria as one of the few voices of reason she's encountered - a realist that counters her slightly idealistic nature.

DONNA
"You're a redhead. You're taking me higher."
Her not!mom. Redheads have to stay together. Donna's personality is a fresh breath of air for Florence - fiery, lively, confident, straight-forward. Considering how sheltered she has been for the majority of her life, Donna's tales of time travel constantly amaze her, as does her display of kindness. The concept of having a family is still quite difficult to grasp, but she has accepted Donna as someone to depend on and trust, even if she highly doubts she'll be able to accompany her on a trip in the past. Regardless, it's the offer and the thought that counts most.

ELIZABETH
"If you want to fight, I'll stand right beside you. The day that you fall, I'll be right behind you to pick up the pieces."
Best, best friend in existence, even if Florence will never quite understand how utterly passionate (bordering on obsessive) Elizabeth is in regards to getting married. Despite some distinct differences, Elizabeth and Florence have personalities that mesh together surprisingly well. The two do nearly everything together, which includes enjoying ice cream while sharing a bubble bath. Somehow, neither of them see anything wrong with that. Florence would be willing to lay her life on the line in order to protect her friends, but Elizabeth's safety is something she finds herself fretting over constantly. Even a few cuts on Elizabeth's fingers warranted Florence rushing over to her household with all of her medical supplies and obnoxiously bright bandages.

ELIZABETH

ENGLAND
"And you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you."
At one point, Florence considered England to be an enigma wrapped inside a mystery. However, that sentence no longer rings true as she comes to decipher what "not for your sake" and "it's not as if I care" truly mean. That's not to say it doesn't tend to get under her skin - after all, Florence tends to be a bit of crier and is an emotionally sensitive, delicate flower. She might pry, but she does so because she genuinely cares about his well-being, as his tendency to bottle his feelings and attempts to push her away have become horribly apparent to her. In addition, she's learned that threatening to do things that may worry him is a very practical and amusing method of prodding honesty out of him.

FREUD
"Cause your words are like bullets and I'm the way your weapons aim."
Freud is the troll of all trolls. She's attempted to troll him herself, but it generally doesn't last very long. She considers him to be both a huge jerk and unrivaled in perverseness, but that doesn't change the fact that she still cares about him. Half of her reasoning for being so frustrated with Freud is his inability to express the same caring attitude towards others without his usual coolness or attempts to troll. Somewhere in that black abyss he calls his heart is his ability to show compassion and empathy. Whenever a Freudian slip (derp derp) occurs or his words can be somewhat misinterpreted for the aforementioned emotions, she doesn't miss the chance to point it out.

HONG KONG
"The city is at war - bless the young and rich."
Anyone who offers her a kitten (especially one as cute as wibbly-kitty) soars to the top of her list. Florence isn't sure of how she should feel about Hong Kong - his emotions are difficult to read, given how sarcastic he tends to be. She still doesn't understand what's so wrong about that jumper England made from him, though. It's kind of gaudy and wooly, but the panda fairy is cute and the effort behind it is what counts most! While Hong Kong is more concerned with that sort of thing, Florence would be perfectly content wearing it around...but not in public. Overlooking his line facing, she's taken note of Hong Kong's secret moe center and is silently relieved that he's capable of producing non-poisonous food, even if his stomach is a never-ending abyss.

KAY
"I can feel that it's time for me to face it."
Florence hasn't gotten to know Kay on a more personal level just yet, but she already appreciates the other girl's company. Kay's interest in the Academy and the clones in general is slightly awkward for her, but she appreciates being treated as an individual rather than "that clone of Florence Nightingale". Kay seems to understand the complex situation the clones have been placed in, and Florence is happy to accept her support on the matter.

LEN
"And they say that a hero could save us. I'm not gonna stand here and wait."
Len is the definition of a young gentleman - well-mannered and sweet. His courage is something to be admired, as well as the way he seems so willing to throw himself in the midst of danger in order to protect his friends. Naturally, she does worry about him and in exchange, tries to avoid getting herself mixed up into any threatening situations. After all, his heroic behavior may endanger him one day. Although he has insisted on assisting her if she is ever in need of protection, she has stated she would do just the same. It's better to be a trusted comrade than a silly damsel in distress.

NAPOLEON
"Nothing can hold you back now."
The fake!fiance. She may disagree with Napoleon on several counts, but she oddly respects him. While Florence frets over things more than he does, they're both determined to protect their loved ones and warn one another to stay safe. Despite that, she's fully aware that Napoleon is capable of looking after himself. However, that hardly prevents her from lecturing him about his intake of sweets and his penchant for provoking countries. In spite of that, Florence admires his drive to strive from the concept of a fixed path, and would find it inspiring if she wasn't so set on becoming a nurse.

PAMELA
"They still can't erase you."
Moe ghost girl. Florence doesn't know much about Pamela, but the two work together as candystripers and Pamela has a habit of trespassing. She's taken it upon herself to at least try to keep Pamela out of trouble - unless someone decides to be rude. In that case, Florence has no issue suggesting nothing but a friendly haunting. If that fails, comforting Pamela is the second best option, considering the two are just as emotionally delicate.

SHIKI
"Let's see how far we've come, let's see how far we've come."
Shiki may have the inability to filter his words to avoid offending people, but Florence isn't so easily deterred by rudeness if someone shows an ounce of kindness. And even if he does insist on calling her an idiot? She's already discovered that his weakness is witnessing a girl crying. Manners aside, he's been extremely helpful during her stay in Mayfield and, alternatively, she attempts to watch over him even if she's aware he's quite capable of taking care of himself.
