day 4.
no henrik today, i believe it was his wife's birthday? christian francine and i worked anyway. we covered act 1 sc 1 (which is now quite funny) and a little of sc 2 for 3 hours, broke for lunch, then came back and francine and christian worked on m. orgon, and then arlequin/lisette stuff. i have probably said this before, i know i have said it out loud, but these people really know their stuff. to be able to sit back for part of today and just watch it grow and morph was really cool. and for the first time, i felt like... i stepped up. yes i'm the youngest there by a long shot, but it's no excuse, something i may have to say may be....relatively kind of useful i guess is what i'm trying to say. ! working with them though, it's... it's an opportunity i am so happy that i said yes to. absolutely wonderful. ! :D
i feel like an 80 year old woman though, my legs are killing me, i don't think it's the shoes but who knows.
i brought my ukulele to rehearsal, because i got there early and wanted something to do. i may again tomorrow. i got to the rehearsal space early after lunch, and i was playing it a bit, and this sweet little girl went skipping/walking by and she was just mesmerized by the ukulele...i thought it was so cute. i wanted to sit and play music for her and just listen to her giggle. little kids have the best smiles, the best laughs.
i wonder when the director comes in. i hope she is as welcoming as henrik francine and christian have been.
happy happy. french french french.
it's been a great day in general, though i couldn't get a hold of john or tessa, i got to spend a lot of time with scott after rehearsal. that was the best.
