(no subject)
i signed the lease for my apartment with alex today and sent it out with a 500 dollar cheak my mother wrote for my first month's rent and security deposit. then i ran to the bank and transfered 500 dollars from my savings to my parents account. 500 dollars, largest transaction ever, unless you count a cashier's cheak for closing my bank account in the summer of 2001, but that was just to switch banks.
i also put in my two weeks notice at work today.
so in two weeks...things will change, hopefully for the much better.
it's so weird and kind of depressing. i'm not suddenly seeing reasons i should stay in beaumont, the city is just starting to feel empty. like everything is fading away or was just a specter of my imagining. something my mind built up to help me feel sane or needed.
i applied to the jewish community center for a position as a lifeguard today and got a response via e-mail saying they'll put me on a waiting list if i want. waiting list?
so i need a job in nola now.
i'm going to try and apply to the university pools.
and i could dig a waitressing job.
i must start packing soon. essentials first.
