What Chu Know 'Bout My HATRED For Juneteenth?
Oh yes. Today is Juneteenth, which is by far the stupidest holiday on the face of the earth. Basically, some of my people (NOT I) celebrate the day when the LAST black person in Texas was told/found out they were free, which was basically over three months after the end of the Civil War. And these fools celebrate this, like it is some important holiday up there with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day or something. Parades and fairs and BBQ and music and other shit. What makes it even more stupid is that some black people across the country celebrate this, like in Baltimore or Chicago. WHY? Since when does something that happened in Texas, affects Northern Cities? This is why my people are struggling. Then, someone at this job had the audacity to call me an Uncle Tom, because I don't celebrate it and feel the need to be part of this for the togetherness in the community. Negro please! Juneteenth is a crock. When my fellow blacks actually realize the purpose of Juneteenth and stop celebrating retardness and the ineffectiveness of a decent communication system back in 1865, then I will march my fat ass and sing kum ba yah and smoked some ribs to some Public Enemy.
