Previews Relevant to Our Interests: November

November is shaping up to be a good month!  Bruce will be back and--according to the solicits for Brightest Day--will be a White Lantern at some point:

(Meanwhile, in Time Masters Clark is still looking for Bruce in what would appear to be one of the least useful search and rescue missions ever!)

November's Superman/Batman features a story by Joe Kelly, which is good news!  And art by Ed Benes, which is mixed news.  I personally like the way he draws Clark and Bruce, although I understand annoyance at the way he draws women.

The copy for Superman/Batman is fine, if generic:  "It's open season on the World's Finest as it looks like all their worst enemies have joined forces to take down both Batman and Superman. Who could possibly be behind this carefully coordinated attack?"

In the "Looking for Clark and Bruce in Unexpected Places" category, we have the JLA/the 99 crossover.  The 99 are a group of young Islamic superheroes, and the plot appears to be that Superman in mind-controlled and Batman and Wonder Woman team up with the 99 to stop him.  Mind-controlled Superman=sad times, but also potentially angsty/cool scenes with Bruce!

The relaunch of the comic based on the Brave and the Bold cartoon features Clark and Bruce fighting crime together in Kandor, whoooo!

There’s precious little crime in the tiny paradise that is the miniaturized Bottle City of Kandor. So, when Kandor is threatened by a plague of thefts that hint at a larger threat waiting in the wings, Superman and Batman shrink down to super-small size to unravel the super-big mystery!
