Here's the newsarama link and I'm cool with a reboot and all (as long as we have Brandon back) but here's what I'm not so sure about.
Something else that might not sit right with some fans is Robinov’s determination to explore the darker side of super-heroes: “We’re going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it.”
Um sure Superman's past is a little dark (planet blew up, only survivor, sometimes alienated) but I hope they aren't going to take the grim and gritty approach because that's not Superman and whoever attempts that should have the character taken away from them.
Only people I trust with a Superman story are Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Garth Ennis (yes the superhero hater but he loves and writes a good Superman), and maybe Mark Millar, they have all shown to me they get the character (although Geoff's Clark could use some tweaking) and that they don't need to make him all dark and vigilante like.

I agree, I don't want a darker Superman in a Superman movie, but in my opinion it'd be interesting to watch a dark movie where the villains are doing what they do best. Then suddenly comes in this bright, iconic handsome superhero to save the day, and you can't help but grin giddily to yourself as Superman does what he does best. I'd love that. :)
Yeah, I only trust Geoff Johns to write a great Superman script. I'm interested to see what Mark Miller would do, but I don't trust him enough to write a Superman movie script.
