[Space Paranoids - Day 3]
WE MADE IT. By the skin (er...bytes? I dunno?!) of our teeth, but at the very least, kavakavan and I are alive.
By mostly-happy coincidence, the MCP pitted us against each other in the Lightcycles game, with no other opponents getting in the way. I didn't even get to see kavakavan until we were actually out on the grid, but once we gave each other a thumbs-up we were good to go. (I don't think any of the programs have little human quirks like that...at least, not that I've seen so far.)
YIKES. I hadn't done the Lightcycles game before, and I'm rather glad kavakavan was actually leading the way, because I could barely keep my balance on those things! Heck, I had trouble riding a horse back on Earth, let alone a motorcycle. And no matter how fast it looks in the game, it's much faster in "real" life. But pretty much the second we started the game, we made a break for the wall. Kava did this absolutely spectacular dive from the cycle right before slamming hers into the wall, and then I grabbed her up and we both rode the remaining cycle out of there. The MCP caught on really fast, because we weren't a few channels away before this whole mess of Recognizers were on our tail. D:
So we've made it, but it's more of an out-of-the-frying-pan-into-the-fire situation. We abandoned the Lightcycle back in some canyon and have been making it on foot ever since, since it's easier for us to hide from the Recognizers this way. I suppose we should count our blessings that there seem to be no Heartless programs so far, but Kava hurt her left arm really badly from that crash and I'm terrified it's broken or something. DX
We are currently...I'm not sure where. There's no terminals around, but from scouting a bit we can see an I/O tower way off to what I think is the east. There's no way we can walk all the way there. I think I heard some people mentioning that Yori might be able to get us some help with a Solar Sailer?
Oh WAIT, there's this big tower right across the canyon! It looks kind of like a dock, and there seem to be lights on there. We're going to try and make it up there, and hope hope hope it's Yori that's manning it. And that we don't run into any Recognizers or guards along the way. D:
