It's funny. Everyone is in their cars, driving away, as though a spontaneous trip to Mexico can save everyone from the cloud overhead. The roads are all blocked and even from my porch I can hear people screaming.
It's sad, then, watching Buffalo, the place I love, disappearing under the winds and shadows.
Well, let them leave. They can't escape. Some of us know better; we know that you have to have a strong heart, fierce will, and a really badass doom-music mix on your iPod, which, mercifully, I have.
When the world started to rumble I grabbed the only weapon I own: a twisted metal pipe in my garage. Now I'm just waiting. It's got to be close.
