There were air pirates at Louie's.
Not just Karnage and his gang. He's got honest-to-goodness AIR PIRATE HEARTLESS under his command.
I should clarify. I went out for lunch with Theo's repair crew and hitched a ride to Louie's- I'd been there before over the past months and the place is awesome, yet when I got there today something was just... different. I didn't know, but I guess I felt the aura being given off by the shadows, being somewhat familiar with them, thanks to the games. Anyhow, we were just about to leave and some shadows sprung into actionafter bstaying in hiding while the Air Pirates were pilfering and plundering on the outside. My memories of the raid are quite blurry since it all happened so fast, but Retta, the alligator mechanic, fires a mean gun and we managed to escape (albeit barely) thanks to her.
I was pretty shaken up by it all, and the thing is? If it wasn't such a near-death experience, I'd probably be fangirling Karnage at the very sight of him. I've always been fascinated by the idea of airborne pirates ever since watching TaleSpin, but now I know that they are not cool in person.
I don't know if I'll be leaving yet, but if things get worse I'll be outta here in a heartbeat and take the kids with me.
