Account Hacking, part deux
I thought I would follow up on yesterday's entry a little bit since everyone was so helpful and intrigued. :)
A couple interesting things I learned when I got home last night.....
- whoever deleted my priest did it from my own computer, undoubtedly.. no hackers (thank goodness!).. because my entire addons folder is gone. ... weird....
- whoever deleted my priest also, after doing so, made a LEVEL 1 WARRIOR with the same name.... as though to save her name or something? And not only that... but they logged onto her. I can tell because I know that my name logged in on two separate occasions yesterday very close together AND the little intro video that plays whenever you make a new character... didn't.
- one of my roommates and I talked to the neighbors to see if they saw anything weird at our house around the time we knew my account was hacked yesterday. The friend we'd suspected and quasi-cleared said he was with the new girl he's dating.... but TWO seperate sets of neighbors remembered seeing a champagne colored Toyota in front of the house that's there quite often....... which is what he drives. He obviously continues to deny deleting the character and taking the laptop but... I'm pretty convinced at this point. It it looks like a duck and walks like a duck.... Oh!! And I also found out that he'd been snooping in my email.... yeah. Great guy....
So anyways... just thought I'd let y'all know the status, since it's a pretty entertaining story...! I'll let ya know if there's any more excitement but seeing as I'm leaving for the east coast tonight, there probably won't be much until I get back next week.
