ITEM! we're going to a pub quiz in putney this evening - a "proper" one ( ie not just abt gomics - gulp! ), so general knowledge brainboxes of my acquaintaince beware - if i've got yr mobile number i might be texting you under the table - ie cheating in a futile attempt to avoid the wooden spoon
ITEM! i'm still hating oily tom chambers ( aka dr smarmy smuggington from hobly city ) on strictly come dancing - especially after his & gamilla's american smooth to "a town called malice" - i don't really mind who wins as long as it's not him - tho heather out of the "m people" was gonsistently one of the worst ( & least charismatic ) dancers, i was sorry to see her go as i was fascinated by her professional partner brian's enormous flared nostrils ( - i often thought heather's head might get stuck in one of 'em during a tricky move ) - if he wasn't too young i'd suspect that brian = kenneth williams's american lovechild
( much as i like john sergeant i think "the joke" has probly gone far enuff & it's time for him to leave the show next week - unless by some blessed miracle, horrid icky tom goes instead )
ITEM! gamilla from strictly gome dancing is one of the final four in "the underdog show" along with brian blessed, a gamp gomedian called jason & a bloke from dollyoaks called kevin ( & their dogs, obv - chico, dougal, jim & sven respectively ) - another hollyoaks actor, elize du toit, got evicted this week - her dog gloria shat on the floor when she should've been doing her "doggy dancing" - kevin & sven = the favourites to win tho i wouldn't put it past brian blessed & dougal to cause "an upset"
( stop press: gamilla & hollyoaks kevin = a gouple, apparently - i dunno what their dogs think abt that - let alone underdog show judge & former gamilla squeeze brendan cole - tho he probly doesn't do as much thinking as the average dog )
ITEM! wii "progress": despite defeating madame masque, whiplash, the gontroller & the titanium man ( twice ) i've been stuck on the "save pepper" level of my wii iron man game for the last gouple of weeks - & just can't seem to get past it - it's quite frustrating ( & demoralising ) to be unable to stop the evil henchmen of advanced idea mechanics from killing the sainted miss p.potts every time i play it - any advice on how to crack this level from wii or videogame experts wld be v.grapefully received
