ITEM! well, obv i haven't quite got my finger on the pulse of what's hot & what's not in the w.o.telly after all - most of my predictions for the national television awards 2007 were dead wrong - & my opinions unpopular ( nothing new there, admittedly ): it turns out that all right thinking ppl actually like "my family" ( but hate & despise me ) - after i said no one watches eastenders anymore, it won most popular soap ( for the 3rd year in a row, apparently ) - & worst of all, it was a night of triumph & glory for bluddy jeremy glarkson - not only did top gear win most popular factual programme but glarkson himself was presented with the lifetime achievement award - he was described as being "wonderfully politically incorrect" - which presumably means he can be as bigoted & hateful as he likes
still, it could've been worse ( at least jamie oliver didn't win anything this year ) & overall i enjoyed watching the awards & all the beautiful ppl etc ( - i looked at the footy results on teletext during the glarkson bits )
ITEM! i'm planning to go on dragon's den w/this - my latest money making scheme: PIESPACE - the social networking space for pies, ppl who want to discuss pies, mr pastry etc
( plse note that piespace is in no way shape or form connected or affiliated with rival sites pastiespace, flanspace or samosaspace ) ( - or sausagerollspace...! )
however
erkinpeaviss pointed out to me that i need to have "a business plan" in place before presenting my brilliant ""idea" to the dragons ( otherwise theo paphitis will say "why should i blow a hundred grand of my children's inheritance on this rubbish?" ) - so i've approached ginsters & fray bentos for sponsorship - but i haven't heard anything back yet
i am also in the process of setting up an independent research group, the pie institute for education ( p.i.e. ) to promote awareness of the undisputed benefits of pies ( ie "they fill you up - & if they don't - have another one...!" ) - which hopefully will be funded by the pie industry
( then when piespace makes all the money in the world, i'll buy up the pie gompanies )
