so i have a number written down and there's a 4 but a 9 written over it
or it's a 9 with a 4 written over it

so i call one and right away i know it's wrong. name on the message machine

so i try the other version of the number
and i get an answering machine with no name. just asking me to leave a message
so i do

and i'm thinking i had it right
but it was another wrong number, i guess
because the guy calls back and wants to know why i called
i said i probably had the wrong number

and people are such assholes
why waste yr time if you obviously don't know who you're talking to?
i specified i was calling for nick (not this guy) and i was me (who he didn't know)
plus he just hung up and shit

reminds me of the time it was dark and i was trying to call detroit
and i did
just not the person in detroit i know
so i hung up when the message machine came a playin'
and at 8 am the lady calls me to compare numbers actual with numbers dialed
she was nice...but 8 am? and why bother?

if you ever call me and i don't know you don't expect a call back
that's just not how i ride.
