I am not the first one doing this nor am I the expert, but we have started moving away from chemical stuff in our house and I wanted to share 'recipes' with anyone who might be wanting to not only save some money, but be more eco-friendly around the house.
Laundry:
detergentfabric softener: white vinegar
dryer balls (replacing dryer sheets)
If brightening is needed, I haven't tried it, but
this recipe looks good.
Kitchen:
liquid dish soapdish detergent (once we run out of the pre-packaged we have).
Stainless steel appliance cleaner: One go-over with olive oil, one go-over with white vinegar.
Bath/personal:
Body butter (so far I haven't found a way to make it stay somewhat soft, but rub it between your hands and it's good to go)
body scrub.
Once we're out of shampoo and conditioner, I am going to try
this.
