Dude, you don't even know how much I've been waiting for a fic exactly like this. I loved that interview with Émery, and the topic fascinates me - who is gay, who knows, how do they react, all those things - so I was ridiculously happy when I realised that this fic is about this exactly. I loved how varied the teammates' reactions are, the contrast between the Valencia locker room atmosphere and the one at City is just so perfect, and also the contrast between the two managers (Émery expecting Silva to talk about everything and Mancini more or less wanting to stay as ignorant as possible about private stuff), and I loved the phone calls between Silva and Stevie (and how carefully Stevie chose his words in the second one, it nearly killed me). And the little details, like the ColaCao importing (I do that too XD), and Xabi needing a cigarette when he's nervous (and OMG THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION BETWEEN THEM - I still ship them SO MUCH), and the abundance of chips and mushy peas (dude, is there any dish in England that does not come with chips? XD) etc. etc.
To cut a long comment short (too late, I know XD), I enjoyed this lots and lots.
Two things I have to mention especially:
David was only a little frustrated that what they spoke honestly sounded like nothing in his Learn-To BBC videos or his tutor from London at all. AHAHAHA, I know what you mean. XDDDD People from Manchester can be SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND, haha. XD
“Now everything I was scared of has already happened,” Stevie inhales deeply. “Now I have nothing to lose.” Oh God, this is perfect. *sniffle* So perfect.
Oh, and: "petrolling" should be "patrolling", and "tieing" should be "tying", no? And there's a letter missing in "the one that bet Raúl’s record". ;)

DID I NOT REPLY TO THIS? i'm an ass, i am so sorry!!! i think it's one of those things where i read it at night and told myself i'd reply in the morning and DIDN'T. but eeeeeeee, thank you so much! :D yes, the topic fascinates me, too- because i really wanted to explore different atmospheres and different reactions and how someone like silva would feel in those different environments. I LOVE EMERY he totally would expect you to tell him everything and then awkwardly father you trolololo.
