I suppose I can only blame myself for not keeping in touch, but you should have visited Glasgow! I've been here all summer, and my co-workers say Glaswegians are nicer (or, as they put it, "People in Edinburgh are pricks!"). They may swear a lot more, but I've never met people who were more up for having a good time and getting some drinks. I definitely think it has something to do with Scottish culture. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your adventures in London sounded fun; I'm trying to put off going until my friend arrives at LSE, so I have a place to stay. Otherwise, I plan to spend a full day in Edinburgh this weekend just soaking in the beautiful architecture, shopping, and free museums. ~ATY
