Belated Christmas greetings

Amici! I'm a day late in offering Christmas wishes to you all, but my unexpected visit to Cleveland for a minor medical procedure (yes, these days getting a heart pacemaker is just a minor procedure, I think) required a change in my holiday plans. There was simply no time to send cards out this year, each with a warm, heartfelt, personalized, handwritten greeting. I'm so sorry if you were disappointed, but please know that you were in my thoughts. One of you especially so. The villa here at Macherio is filled with white roses today; I breathe in their heady perfume and am transported.

So. Buon Natale! I hope all of you received the gifts you wanted, and I hope that we will all meet as friends in the New Year.
