Tomsk? Whose bright idea was that?

Vladimir, I'm so looking forward to our discussions next week  (http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L19777634.htm).  And won't Tomsk make a nice change from Moscow or Berlin?

*grits teeth*

Dominique. Cher. You can't imagine what your sympathetic comments mean to me. Please don't worry, though. I'm sure Vlad and I will have a wonderful time, and our discussions about Iran will be fruitful and productive. That reminds me, didn't the two of you have your own weekend discussion of the Iran situation earlier this year? Curious that neither of you ever posted about the results, n'est-ce pas? Perhaps other more pressing matters intervened?

Such a shame you won't be able to join us in Siberia, but then you do have your hands full at the moment, don't you? Aren't you sponsoring an art exhibition (at taxpayer expense)? Perhaps you're thinking of taking over as culture minister in a Sarkozy government?

Don't ask me why, but Angie's bitchy side certainly seems to be on view today. Of course, considering the way Dominique treated her overtures of friendship earlier this year, it's surprising it's taken this long for it to happen.

Those pictures are awful! (Although the first one might make a good icon for certain moods.)

And Jenni is just being mean because I want to see "Vlad and Dominique pay a visit to BHL" somewhere down the line, lol. Have you been reading that comment thread in Domi's lj?

Angie's trying to be bitchy? To Dominique, the master of bitchiness?

Chere Angie...I take an interest in ze arts, as you know, I am a published poet, author, and painter. Besides, in ze unlikely event of a Sarkozy government, ze little bastard would probably outlaw all forms of culture. He's such a philistine.

My discussion with Vlad was very productive. You must remember, I am a trained negotiater and a skilled diplomat. You may notice zat zings have got so much worse since I stopped being ze chief negotiator with Monsieur Khatami. Now zat Condi, Jack Straw, and ze new President have taken over, alors, look at ze swift decline!

I wish you well on your trip. You may find zat you have a bit of a walk to make from ze provincial airport - no cars can go down ze dirt track. Anyway, perhaps you would appreciate ze exercise - I saw a few photos of you recently, and even if you do not appreciate ze walk, I'm sure certain parts of you might.

(Have read, but am struggling time to word a reply. In short, I can't see BHL really wanting to compete with Vlad for Domi. Domi and BHL would be too jealous of one another to be in a relationship.

ROTFL.

Oh, God, you shouldn't do this to me at work! I don't think Angie trusts herself to speak at the moment; anyway, she seems to be busy conducting a Google search on "voodoo dolls". Can't for the life of me imagine why!

I didn't mean a romantic relationship between Domi and BHL. I just thought BHL might want to play power/mind games with Vlad, and try to show he's more important to Domi as a friend than Vlad is as a lover.

Btw, you might want to occasionally take a look at Kat's lj. There will be some public journal entries that you might find of interest. ;-)

And an early Happy Birthday! to you. *looks sadly at card and package, still to be posted* How much longer does your uni term go? Will you be at Hope Street for a while yet?

"and try to show he's more important to Domi as a friend than Vlad is as a lover"

OUCH!!! Please! Vlad does NOT need that!!! *still feels a stinging in her heart from that one*

Try! I said try. I never said it would work. (And if it did work, well, then Domi's not the man Vlad thinks he is (or that any of us think he is, for that matter)).

It's not even the outcome that would hurt so much, it's the very struggle. Vlad's in no state to be put through something like that... even Tavi noticed he was close to going over the edge! That's not a good sign... :-(
