Share you ideal travel itineraries!
As avid travellers, our minds are constantly filled with the next BIG travelling experiences we want to do, I have so many and I hope by the time I die I will have done at least a few of them, if not all. Even though I am headed to Ecuador and Central America this Autumn and looking forward to that SO much, I can't help dreaming about what will come after, I think in my head, I am booked up until about 2050! Honestly, who has time to do anything else!?
Therefore, I thought it would be a nice idea for me to share with you the holidays I am planning for the next few years and where I want to go PLEASE join in and tell me all about your travel plans too! I love to hear what other people are up to and if anyone has any tips or improvements, I would love to hear those too :)
Now this is the next big adventure I am planning for the summer of 2010, for 3-4 weeks. This is the only plan of mine as yet that I am almost certainly doing as my boyfriend and I have discussed it in great detail already and have decided we MUST do it. I have a fetish for going to the more unusual countries in the world, whilst my boyfriend likes doing crazy things. In Kyrgyzstan he has discovered it is possible to scale unclimbed, unnamed mountains, which combines both of these aspects in one mental holiday! Hence next year shall hopefully see me following the Silk Route, whilst my boyfriend scales some virgin peaks, with us eventually meeting somewhere along the way and continuing together, probably all by rail as I am not a keen flier and Central Asian airlines are apparently a bit iffy!

Another of my dream holidays is Cape Town to Cairo or vice versa, just like Paul Theroux <3 A friend of a friend just got back from doing this route and I am filled with SUCH envy! This is a long one and would probably be what I'd do in my compulsary 8 week sabbatical of summer 2013 and would probably be driving/flying, although not looked into it enough yet, any pointers!?

Cairo (only a day probably going to the newly opened Egyptian Museum which is hopefully a LOT better than the current one! I've done Egypt already so wouldn't need more than a couple of day)
Alexandria (apart from I really want to see Alexandria as not been) - Egypt (weeks 7-8)
I am also desperate to do the Trans-Siberian!!! Maybe summer 2011-12? Probably St Petersburg to Vladivostok, hopefully via Mongolia. Must sees would be Lake Baikal and Ekaterinburg for me and Moscow for my boyfriend.
Other places I am dying to see...well the rest of the world! Most of all though I am desperate to go to Malaysia and Indonesia!!! And Belize, as I don't get to go this time around! :(
